Wabasso Public Schools

Hello! You’ve found Ms. Ryan’s Science Page!!!

Wow! This will be my 5th year teaching at Wabasso. Time Flies! I have also taught at Zimmerman Middle School and Monticello High School. I’ve also subbed in several school districts: St. Cloud, Rogers, Spicer/New London, and Cold Spring/Ricori.

I have peer tutored at North Hennepin Community College, and professionally tutored at St. Cloud State University and Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I have also taught at the college level at St. Cloud State University.

This year I will be teaching 8th Grade Physical Science, 10th Grade Life Science, and 2 elective CIS courses: Medical Terminology and Human Biology.

I have a BS in Science Education and an MA in Ecology and Natural Resources from St. Cloud State University, and a BS in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of MN Twin Cities.

I used to work in wildlife control; check it out:

Okay, the cow isn’t wildlife, but this was so much fun! The U of M studies how a cow’s gut digests specific foods to help create better feed. This port allows access to collect samples.

Yes, bear trapping! Don’t worry, this big guy was just snoozing while we tagged him.

This is Spermophilus tridecemlineatus, aka the 13-lined ground squirrel, aka Goldie the Gopher. He was digging holes in a client’s garden. He was relocated to a more appropriate field.

I stick to more domestic animals now. I have a doggo named Falcor, and a cat named Miku.

Aren’t they cute? I’m excited to meet you all and learn some science! All class information will be available on Schoology.com.
